A Special Business Meeting of the Congregation to vote to call ministerial candidate mandi
huizenga as our next settled minister will be held May 1, 2022 at 11:30 am. The meeting will directly follow the May 1 regular Sunday service that mandi will lead.
The meeting will be multi-platform: you may join in person in the Sanctuary or online via
Zoom (see link below). The vote to call a Minister also allows for absentee voting. See below for instructions for each of the voting options.
There will be separate activities for children three years (or younger if accompanied by an adult) and older during the meeting.
- For this very important vote, a quorum of 40% of members eligible to vote must be present on May 1, recorded by a count of those in person and checked in via Chat on Zoom. (Eligibility to vote is based on membership of 45 days or more).
- Check in for in-person voting will be in the walkway leading to the Sanctuary; you will
receive a ballot card to present for in-person vote counting. - Remote attendees will join the meeting using the Zoom link below and will check in for voting using the Chat feature. Remote votes will be recorded by an electronic ballot that will be made available on the day of the vote.
- Absentee votes by mail or by electronic ballot received by the end of the Business
Meeting on May 1 will be counted toward the final tally but will not be counted in
determining the quorum. If you need an absentee electronic ballot prior to the day and time of the vote on May 1, please contact president@dupageuuchurch.org.
